ARTIST'S STATEMENT

Traditions serve as a means of continuity between generations, but are dichotomous in nature. Traditions structure and yet they restrict.

My art focuses primarily on feminine issues. I paint a diversity of topics that reflect everyday living experiences, traditions as well as social conditions that women face and confront.

When is it appropriate to initiate change and when is it crucial to maintain traditions, cultural and family values?

It is my ultimate goal to express and communicate through my art work some of the emotions and daily rituals that are within this feminine evolutionary process. This journey transcends all ethnic and socioeconomic classes and even gender.
